• Question: Is it ever awkward explaining your job to people?

      Sometimes it can be if the person has no background in science in can be quite challenging to put it in terms that they will understand

      Sometimes it can be quite funny – especially when I mention I work with poo samples – that usually provokes a funny reaction

      Some people think I’m a geek but I am a geek – and proud of it!
